About Shy

Adoption Fee: $250
Beagle mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Shy the Beagle. She is a 4-6 year old 22 pound spayed female. Shy's name does not describe her. She, like most Beagles is a social and happy dog. Shy came to us after she showed up on a farm in a rural area of Missouri. It appears someone drove her to the country and left her to fend for herself. No owner was located so she made the trip north to us. Shy, like most Beagles is ruled by her nose. This means that her daily walk is the highlight of her day. It gives her the opportunity to smell new things. For this reason she also needs to have a fenced yard at her new home. She loves to spend time outside, but she doesn't like to be outside by herself. She would love to have another dog to play with or some kids to run around the yard with her. She would be happy with anyone who likes to be outdoors a lot. Shy is good with other dogs, but she is a little too interested in cats, which usually doesn't make the cats very happy. Shy is house trained and has good house manners. Shy is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, heartworm tested and microchipped. Now all she needs is a family. If you would like to meet Shy, please start by going to our website at www.furfunrescue.org and fill out the adoption application. If you have questions about Shy or our process you can contact [email protected] or call 319-929-6657. We will do not set up meetings with a dog until the adoption application has been submitted. Indoor homes only. Adopters within 2 hours of Cedar Rapids, IA only, please. Adoption fee is $250.
