About Sam

She has been with us 5 months. She is not a good fit for my farm. She is very sweet and good with other dogs. She is afraid of loud noises, or swinging a stick or broom, I believe she was abused and starved in her past. She is good with chickens. We are a family of 3, one 15 yr. old girl so don't know if she would be good with younger small children, she would not bite anyone, very submissive but she could knock over small ones, we have taught her not to jump on people but can't guarantee it with little kids. We have her leash broke and healing on leash. Sit and down commands. the reason she is not a good fit on our farm is she is a chewer and we have our dogs loose on the farm. She needs a home with fenced in yard where she can't get your items left out and around, needs to be kenneled while inside if unsupervised. She tested positive for heart worm February 1st. 2020 she is on heart worm med. once a month like any other dog, and by next Feb. she will be heart worm free.
