American Staffordshire Terrier / Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Welcome to Boo Bear's bio! So, in case you didn't notice (totally kidding, of course you did), this dog is stunning. He is seriously jaw-droppingly handsome. Yes, he is very good looking but it's what lies beneath that makes us fall in love with Boo over & over again. Boo has not had an easy life. Humans failed him miserably from the day he was born and for several years thereafter. Boo was not treated kindly or cared for or protected. Life dealt him a tricky hand but Boo's fate totally changed when he joined our rescue this year. We got him all caught up on veterinary care and into a fantastic foster home where he now waits for his forever family. Getting to know Boo has been an honor & a privilege. We have a good idea of what Boo's ideal retirement home looks like now that we've spent lots of time with his sweet soul. Being an older gentleman, Boo isn't one who tends to get rowdy. He spends most of his days lounging in the sunshine, sleeping on the couch, or helping his foster dad work on one of the vintage cars. Speaking of cars, this boy LOVES a good car ride. Whether it's to get some Dairy Queen at the drive-thru or to run a quick errand, Boo will never turn down a chance to hit the road for a bit. He makes for an awesome co-pilot. Despite how unkind humans were to him in the past, Boo has yet to meet one person with us that he does not like. He just waddles up to them with his tail wagging and says hello before going about his day. When there's a knock on the door, Boo will make his presence known by barking and if anyone was thinkin' about snooping around, they will most definitely think again when they hear him inside! Once you open that door though, all he wants to do is be someone's friend. He's met lots of different people and every single one has become his new BFF. He looks up at you with those big brown eyes and goofy teefers as if to say 'will you be my friend?' and the rest is history. Boo's soul really is as pure as they come, folks. Boo deserves humans who will love him forever and give him the best life for however many days he has left. He really doesn't require much in the way of exercise or activity or stimulation. He is happy to just be with you, whatever that means. No matter what you look like, sound like, smell like (ok we're kidding on this one!), Boo is genuinely happy to be your sidekick. One thing that Boo's new humans must be willing to accept & appreciate is that he cannot live with any other animals. Sadly, he had too many negative experiences with other animals before he came to us and we have discovered that in his golden years, Boo needs a home where he is the one & only. Of course, it is not his fault at all and he needs his people to accept Boo for Boo, which means no furry friends for him. We are totally in love with Boo and we know you will be, too. Being 85lbs, 7-8 years old, black in color and a Pittie automatically causes most people to reject him. Adding that he has to be your only companion animal is yet another deal breaker for many folks. It's a sad reality but Boo doesn't want pity. He just wants a family. We know that Boo's perfect retirement home is out there and we've promised him that we won't stop until we find it. If you give Boo a chance to steal your heart, you won't regret doing so. Drop us a line if you would like more information on making you Boo your main (furry) man.
