About Luna

Meet Luna, a beautiful one-year-old, 50 lb. brindle pit mix. Formally a Carolina dog, she just made her way to Connecticut to find her happily furever after and is currently located in a foster home! While she was born in the shelter and has lived there for the past year, she is quick to catch-up to family life! She is a curious, affectionate, playful, observant, and energetic pup. She's people friendly and enjoys the company of other dogs as she loves to play, toss around toys, relax in the yard, and chew on bones. Luna is smart and proving to be a fast-learner as she's beginning to follow cues and commands. She is very gentle and responsive on leash and eager to learn and be rewarded with praise. She's also working hard on her housetraining. New situations don't seem to upset her and she even enjoys car rides. Coming from a shelter, it does take Luna some time to get to know new indoor spaces, and asks for permission before entering each room, but warms up quickly with toy-time and attention. She is very sweet during bath time and does not show any signs of aggression while observed playing, feeding, and snuggling. Luna is a really sweet and loving girl. You must have a fenced yard to be considered as she needs a safe and secure place to run her puppy energy out. Another dog in the home is highly preferred as she likes having a playmate. Older kiddos potentially ok. She's a bit curious with cats so we wouldn't recommend them in the home. Her adoption fee is $300 and she is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed.
