About Tessa

Schnauzer / Scottish Terrier
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Tessa is a doll, really! This girl is fun and loving and silly and fully of joy! We believe we have the breeds right. Even the vet said right off that she's a Schnauzer mix, and that body is sturdy like a Scottie. Whatever she is, she is perfection and fun. This little girl was found by a Good Samaritan and had been on the run for some time as she was fully of cockle burs and foxtails and needed grooming badly. Held by the Good Samaritan for the required 30 days - no one came to claim her! That's where we came in. And she's all set now for a home of her very own. At only about a year old and about 30 pounds, Tessa has typical terrier energy so her people will need to understand that. She is also very young . A good walk a day and ample play time will make for a very happy girl and her very happy people. Tessa loves everyone but, though small she is stout and could unintentionally bump into young humans and cause them to fall over. Just be aware of the fact her joy bubbles over and she forgets herself sometimes. Could this be the girl for you? If you think she might then read on or go directly to the adoption process page of our website, throwmeabonedogrescue.org. All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live. Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
