About Remy

French Bulldog / Chihuahua
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Remy is quite the character. Definitely there is some Frenchie in there, and that silly personality, but also there is Chi in him, and that attitude comes out as well. This stout little cutie had a rough neuter surgery but is fully healed now and ready to find a home of his very own where he can be Roi (king) of his chateau. Remy is a loving boy but can be very possessive once he decides you are his, so his person will need to be committed to correcting that possessive behavior and letting him know he doesn't control who gets to come close to his people. He gets along with other dogs, and even likes meeting neighborhood kids, when he is outside his abode. Go figure! Cats would be fine with him, and he might simply ignore them. Remy, like nearly every small dog, would do best in a home where any children are at least 12 years old and have a good grasp on respecting dogs and understanding how they communicate and what they are telling humans. If you think Remy is the dog to complete your kingdom, then read on or go to the adoption process page of our website, throwmeabonedogrescue.org, All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live. Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
