About Max

Looking for the perfect place to rehome Max. Max is a 2 year old American Foxhound. Max was diagnosed with diabetes and does require a special diet and 10 units of insulin daily and monthly vet visits for glucose testing. My family has had Max since he was 8 weeks old we adopted him from the Jacksonville humane society. His birthday is January 17th 2018. He is the sweetest dog you will ever meet and very beautiful. He is great with children and other dogs and he is kennel and house trained, however with the diabetes he is peeing a lot more and sometimes tends to have accidents if not let out frequently. He started acting strange and became very ill a few months ago so we rushed him to the animal hospital. The vet told us he had diabetes and explained he would need insulin daily. We love him so much but we are on the road a lot and its becoming to hard to care for him the way he needs.Max needs a lot of attention and love. Im looking for someone that will actually take care of him and give him the love and attention he needs. He is very skinny and even though he eats normal he is losing weight. Max will require his new owners to take him to vet immediately. We are looking for a new family immediately him.Max is a very special dog and needs and deserves so much love and attention.
