About Desmond

Desmond may be a little dog, but he's a wolf at heart and he's looking for a pack to run with! He is a 9 month old Chihuahua/Terrier mix. Desmond weighs 10 pounds and may have some growing left to do. He much prefers his fellow canines to humans, and must have at least one other dog in his forever home. He is used to roaming wild with his family, but they were luckily all caught by HARRT and brought to safety. Now he is ready for a brand new adventure, and he needs a patient family to help guide him as he learns what it's like to live in a loving home. Desmond loves to howl like his noble ancestors when he's left home alone, so no apartments or condos with shared walls for this boy. He will need plenty of time to warm up to his people and accept their affection, but he is an intelligent young dog who is always watching and learning from the other dogs around him. He is not a fan of walking on leash yet, so he requires a very securely fenced yard to ensure he doesn't end up on the streets again. Desmond has never been around children that we know of, but may do okay with older, gentle teens. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped.
