About Blue

Slow and steady wins the race with this boy - Meet Blue (aka Blueberry), a beautiful 50-pound Husky/Heeler mix - with striking eyes and yes - you guessed it - one of them is blue. Blue has just finished his heartworm treatment (YAY!) and has made quite the impression during his visits with his gentle lovable sweet nature. Even though he is only approx. 2.5 years old, his favorite past time is napping - he can be found pretty much sprawled out at any point during the day in any part of the house. Second to napping this good boy loves to go for a walk - did I mention slow and steady - and is the perfect gentleman on a lead. He has been learning basic commands and is a quick study. Blue does well with other dogs, loves people and attention and has done well with children that he has met. He has not been cat tested. He is housebroken and crate trained, up to date on vaccines and neutered. He would do best with a fenced yard. Because he is low energy Blue would do well with another companion of the same speed - two legged and/or four legged - who would be willing to snuggle, share treats and go for walks. Blue will be available to start meeting and greeting around mid-July as he will be finishing up the final stages of his heartworm treatment.
