About Fierce

German Shepherd / Pit Bull
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Hi my name is Fierce. I am 11 weeks, 10lb shepherd mix puppy. I was found by myself in TN and brought up to IL around 7 weeks old. The vet thinks I was separated from my mom and siblings at a very young age. My foster family has 3 dogs and 2 kids. With all my puppy energy I love playing tug-a-war, chewing on dog toys, and playing with the kids and dogs. All the neighbor kids love to come play with me when I go outside. They think I'm just the cutest. I love snuggling near my foster family for naps and look forward to going on walks. My foster mom says I do really well on the leash and walk right next to the older dogs. Since I am a puppy I am still working on potty training- I show some signs to my foster family. I am not a fan of the kennel as I don't like to be alone, I bark when in it. My foster family lets me sleep in the room with them and I have no problem sleeping through the night. I love to play with the other dogs but when I play I get too excited so I need to be supervised closely. I've had several sessions working with a trainer with my foster mom to help with my socialization. I am still learning to socialize and play with dogs and will need lots of patience, consistency, supervision, and additional training. I would benefit with a family that has another dog that I can learn from, but I will require slow introductions to any dog. I do well around all kids. I am a little puppy looking for my forever home who can help continue with my training. Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
