About TESSA

Hi, my name is Tessa. I'm about 9 years old and 10-11 lbs. I came all the way from Maricopa Co to my new foster my mom with CTSS. I'm still adjusting to my new life. I'm a little shy and apprehensive but I'm coming out of my shell. I trust people more now. I'm still a little nervous about being petted but all I really want is my own home. I'd like someone to show me love and help me continue to feel more secure. I love to eat! My foster mom said I'm a really good girl so I get treats too! Yum yum. I'm dog door trained or I will go outside to potty if you tell me and open the door. 'Let's go potty!' Is what my foster mom tells me. I love to snuggle and hide under blankets. I'm very polite wait to get petted. All the other dogs here get a little pushy for pets if I do say so myself. I like to run and hop jump in the yard. I'm not sure what this 'playing with toys' thing is all about but I'd love someone to teach me. I'm still just a little unsure of myself. I'm excited for this wonderful opportunity for a new life. If you have love to give maybe I'm the right girl for you. I have love too I just need reassurance it's safe for me to be a happy dog again. I do have dry eye but over the counter eye drops are helping me, and I have a heart murmur but I am not on meds yet and I am feeling really great! P.S. If you've seen my photos look at my ears. Yep, one is up and one is down most all of the time. My foster mom said it makes me cuter!
