About Prince Charming

Domestic Cat

Hi there! My name is Prince Charming, and I'm a sweet, affectionate, calm, undemanding, laid-back red tabby fella with bronze eyes, VERY SOFT medium-length fur, and a big fluff of a tail who was born in April 2014. I'm a lover boy who is very attached to my foster meowmy: I love it when she scratches my head and chest; I become a rag doll when she picks me up and holds me. I spend as much time as I can with her by sitting curled up next to her on the sofa while I 'make biscuits' with my paws, and then I follow her into the kitchen to wind around her legs as she washes dishes. When she's in bed, I crawl up on her chest and wrap my paws around her shoulders. I'm a happy, contented boy who fairly leaps down the hall. I enjoy an occasional game of cat-and-mouse with the catnip variety of toy rodent, and in my more solitary moments, I enjoy climbing the cat tree to observe the birdies out the window on my 'kitty TV.' I have perfect scratching post manners, and the only imaginable flaw with me is that I'm afraid of loud noises like the vacuum cleaner. (For Pete's sake, what cat isn't?) I get along great with the little dog in my foster home as well as the friendly cat, but I stand my ground with the irascible cat who growls and hisses at me. As much as my foster meowmy would love to adopt me, she realizes that a home with fewer cats to compete for her human attention as well as with less feline fussing would be ideal for me. There are no small children in my foster home, but Foster Meowmy thinks that I might get under foot of a toddler and make her fall. Also, adults and older children would be more careful about picking me up because I have some minor disc issues that make parts of my back more tender than others. I guess you're wondering why such a perfectly charming feline specimen like me is homeless? Let's just say that life was no bowl of cherries when I was turned in as a stray to the city pound. I was terribly thin and my mouth was literally a bloody mess. Fortunately, since I'd been adopted as a kitten from Buster's Friends, I was traced back to them because they'd bought my microchip. My new foster meowmy scooped me up and away from there, and she was a great blend between an angel and Florence Nightingale. She realized immediately that I had severe gingivitis that could only be remedied by having all of my teeth removed. Once I had a full mouth extraction, I started eating ravenously and filling out -- both in my body mass as well as my luxurious coat. The result is that I'm now gorgeous, and just think -- I'll never have routine dental cleanings again (although my gums should be monitored). I hope that my story has piqued your interest and that you'll arrange to meet me today! If you're looking for a constant companion, I'm your man! Just one flick of my plumed tail and one blink of my bronze eyes, and your heart will be right in the palm of my paw. Prince Charming is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home in the metro Houston area. No de-clawing permitted. His adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Prince Charming, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet him.
