Riggs is a 2.5 year old Schnauzer mix who is 17 lbs very cuddly and sweet. Riggs was found on street of Texas where a Good Samaritan picked him up and got him to foster. Riggs does better with female dogs than males. No households with children or cats will be considered. Riggs was tested with cats and did not do well. Riggs would be good for an adult only home with a yard or daily walks. Riggs has obviously been homeless and stray once, so he needs a home with a fenced in area. Riggs is housetrained for the yard and crate trained. Riggs was heartworm positive in Texas and we treated him for it. He currently is on crate rest so there is no running or jumping for two weeks. After he completes his crate rest, he is not under any restrictions. We had Riggs neutered, brought up to date on all shots, microchipped, treated for heartworm, and transported to NJ. Riggs has a rough adjustment to his foster home but is doing great now and has been getting our routine really well and is ready for a home. It took him 1 week to adjust and now is doing great !
