About Canary Wing Parakeet

Phone number has been updated. Bentley is a sweet and friendly bird. He is energetic and active. He can be quite vocal in the early mornings and at sunset. He loves to spend time on my shoulder accompanying me about the house. He is very toilet trained and will hold it as long as he can while he's on my shoulder. If he ever does have an accident it's usually my fault for not putting him on his portable perch soon enough. I love Bentley to death but unfortunately there's been some changes in my life that make keeping him very difficult. Must be ok with birds that can be loud at times and be able to give him a least 2 hours of attention daily. He likes to chew wood toys and enjoys foraging opportunities. He requires a mixed diet of dry food and mixed frozen chopped fresh food. He has his own large cage and a smaller travel cage as well. All supplies he needs are included. He's been to the avian vet annually and is in perfect health. He is 3 years old and his breed lives an average of 12 years. I am only willing to rehome Bentley into the most loving, kind, and caring situation, Birds of his sort are quite, intelligent and sensitive and need someone with patience and care. Bentley is a member of the family more than a pet and he likely won't respond well to a situation that is any less inclusive. Bentley has been taught to speak several words and phrases but he's a little shy about using them and birds of 'his' breed aren't the clearest speaking birds anyway. If speaking is a priority, this is not your bird. If a companion is your interest, you'll not find a better one. He would stay with you all day if he could. Bentley has had his wings clipped (4/5) but he can still fly across the room if necessary and can fly from his cage to his owner and back if he is afforded that ability.
