About

Adoption Fee: $75
Bengal / Abyssinian
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Lily LaPont is a beautiful petite fawn and siver short hair female approx. 1.5yr. Her adoption fee is $75. She has been vetted, spayed and microchipped. She is good with other nice cats and nice calm dogs, adult kids if any. Lily was rescued from a disgusting hoarder house where several animals were pulled to safety. She didn't get any attention there, all she did was exist. PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! IT'S A LIFE! This sweet girl is shy, she has little courage and is hesitant about approaching people on her own but you can pick her up and cuddle with her and there is absolutely no aggression, no hissing, no growling, no scratching. She just doesn't have any confidence, especially if you are standing over her with fast hands, loud voices, or running. If you get down to her level either sitting or laying, she is calmer and more receptive. Once you understand the horror that she had gone through you will be more sympathetic and love her even more. She needs a quiet home with lots of love and patience where she will be loved unconditionally. She has come so far in her rescue foster home and she has so much more potential with the right person. She likes to sleep on the bed at night as she is most comfortable next to her people. I have met this sweet pea and if somebody would just give her a chance she would adjust over time and be an amazing companion, attaching herself like glue to her people. She has begun to play slowly with interactive toys like feather on a stick and shoe lace drag as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toys. These can be very fast moving toys which would frighten her. Slow play can be fun too and less intimidating for her. She really is a gem once you get to know her. She loves kitty treats, a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor and a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with sun rays beaming in. She has been free fed quality hard food (quality meaning the first ingredient begins with meat) and gets up to a can of Fancy Feast morning and night. Below information is for preventative purposes'| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cat's fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health. AVOID FISH! Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! They need a cat tree, love and an inside home ADOPT Lily LaPont FOR LIFE!
