#ARKforLola Serious Inquiries Only Calling all experienced bulldog lovers! Lola is a 4-1/4 year old, 80-pound English Bulldog who is spayed, up-to-date on all shots, and located in Dover, NH. Her friends at ARK and Pope Memorial Humane Society know there's a special someone out there who can give this girl a wonderful, stable life, which is something she has yet to experience. True to the bulldog breed, Lola is determined to get her way, eager to please (when food is involved), and very protective of her people and property. She requires an adopter with previous bulldog experience, who displays natural authority toward her, works on socialization, and offers consistency with her daily routine. Lola needs to be slowly and properly introduced to new people. She is best suited for a quiet home, with minimal foot traffic, and no children or other animals. She is not a candidate for apartment/condo complex living. Lola is a low to medium energy girl. She is a couch potato and enjoys lounging in a chair. No matter how small the chair, she will squeeze herself onto it! She is not keen going for long walks, preferring to go outside for quick potty breaks. Lola loves wading in the pool and showing off her new bikini body (she has lost 16lbs. due to proper diet and care)! Lola's other favorite pastime is car rides and she wants lots of them! Toys...Lola loves her toys! She is a big chewer and her new owner should monitor this behavior. She enjoys plush toys but since she quickly chews them and could swallow pieces, it's in her best interest to enjoy only 'hardy' toys like Nylabones, Kongs or rope toys. Lola should not be offered rawhides, bully sticks, etc., as she can become possessive over high value items. We are specific about her adoption needs because Lola has already been passed from home to home before coming to the shelter. We are determined that Lola have a permanent, forever home. So let's review the details: * Lola needs a quiet, low foot traffic home, on the inside, outside, and surrounding areas. * The home must be adult only (18 and older). * Lola must be the only pet in the home. * Lola is not suited for apartment/complex living.
