About Marley

DO NOT STOP INTO OUR SHELTER ABOUT THIS DOG, OUR BUILDING IS STILL CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. This is Marley. He is a 2 1/2 year old (20 lbs) Havanese/Poodle mix (best guess). We know these are breeds that everyone is searching for but Marley is a special boy who needs the right home. Marley is up from TN where he was returned 3 times for behavior. Our partners down South asked us if we would try to find him his forever home. He can be protective of his owners and will bark at strangers when they come over. He is super high energy. He is a barker and a jumper. He has some separation anxiety which is eased by people that are home most of the day as well as another very playful pup. He is OBSESSED with water so a pool for swimming will score extra points :)) All that being said, this boy is SWEET and has lots of love to give. We want his next home to be his last so we will be very particular so he is not failed again. Needs some work on his housebreaking (and mounting). No cats. REQUIREMENTS: 1) SINGLE FAMILY HOME WITH FENCED IN YARD, HE WILL BOLT AND CHASE EVERYTHING THAT MOVES. NO RENTALS. ( A FENCED IN PATIO DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A FENCED IN YARD) 2) ANOTHER YOUNG, ACTIVE DOG IN THE HOME THAT LOVES TO PLAY, PLAY AND PLAY. 3) ADULT ONLY HOME OR ONE WITH KIDS 16+ 4) HIGHLY ACTIVE, VIBRANT OWNERS. NO COUCH POTATOES! 5) DOG SAVVY OWNERS WITH A HISTORY OF WORKING WITH AN OBEDIENCE TRAINER AND A COMMITMENT TO DO THE SAME WITH MARLEY. 6) DRIVING DISTANCE TO NJ SO DOGS IN THE HOME CAN MEET AND GREET SO OUR STAFF CAN ASSESS IF A GOOD MATCH 7) ACCESS TO SWIMMING!
