Nala was rescued in the neighborhood where we are, near Truth or Consequences, NM. She had been running loose for at least two days that we know of. She had bite/puncture wounds around her neck. She was coming up to me and letting me pet her, but it took 2 1/2 hours to 'get' her in the car. After we got her she turned into a mush.... she is a BIG lovebug. She loves to snuggle and nuzzle. She's learning to walk like a lady on a leash and is housebroken. We are full timers in an RV and travel with our cat Twig. So we are looking for the best home possible for her, with a secure yard to play in. We've been slowly introducing her to the cat and they have been doing pretty well together. Nala seems to tolerate all kinds of dogs. She has never shown any aggression to animal or human whatsoever. Her wounds have healed and so is her heart. She can become fearful of certain things, getting into the car, sudden noises, certain male energy. She is currently in heat and will need to be spayed/chipped. If you are looking for a sweet girl to kiss and love on, Nala is your girl!!
