About RUDO (west)

Hi, my name is RUDO ID#A3759382. I am a neutered male, black and white American Put Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 6 years old, and I have been at the shelter since June 8, 2020. Rudo has been put on the list for euthanasia due to his behaviour and inability to get along with other dogs. Here are some notes from staff who recently spent time with Rudo: 6/19/2020 ENRICHMENT Sleeping on bed when handler walked up to kennel, readily came forward,easy to leash. Walked well on leash on the way to the yard. Once in yard canine explored, came running to handler when handler called. Affiliative, leaned in to petting. Got reactive a few times when other canines walked by fence line. Easy to leash and return to kennel. 6/24/2020 ENRICHMENT Easily pulled from kennel; once out became aroused on leash but settled once in yard. Playful with handler while in yard. On return canine became barrier reactive but able to lure back into kennel. 6/25/2020 OBSERVATION Dog is jumping to top of kennel repeatedly in kennel, hypersalivating; adding to daily in-kennel enrichment list. Rudo was adopted, but returned the next day. Notes about why are incomplete. Rudo does appear to be housebroken, as he will wait to be let out to go potty. He is selective about doggy friends. Please consider saving this lost soul before he is put down.
