About Archie

Say hello to your little friend! Meet Archie. He is a 3-year-old 6lb chihuahua. He is absolutely the cutest little boy! He even has a heart shape on his side. Archie was rescued from a back yard breeder in Alabama, where he was kept in a barn and had little to no human interaction. He is very scared and timid, and while foster mom has worked with him and made great strides, he still needs more work on socialization. He would do best in a household with at least one other dog and no small children. He is not housebroken, however, he is pee pad trained as long as his area is small. He has started going out to potty with other dogs and loves to do zoomies in our fenced in yard. He does not know how to walk on a leash. He loves yum yums. He spins with excitement and sometimes I think he smiles. He started taking food gently from our hand. He does show signs of separation anxiety. He likes to sleep in a crate in your bedroom at night. I do recommend that if you consider adopting/fostering Archie that you have some experience with chihuahuas, a fenced in yard and lots of patience. He is not your average cuddle bug. But if you're up for a challenge Archie is your man!
