About Gotti

Adoption Fee: $150.00
Pit Bull
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Gotti! He is a 6-year-old blind pitbull. We pulled him from a shelter in Ohio where he was about to be euthanized. You see, Gotti is blind and he did not do well in the scary shelter environment, he was so terrified and confused. A few staffers snuck up behind and startled him so Gotti snapped at them, so he got the 'vicious pit bull' label, all though he is anything but! No one has told Gotti that he is blind, because he does not seem to know, and he doesn't let it stop him from living his best life! He is very playful! He gets along great with other dogs and does well with cats too. Foster mom has 2 cats, and a Border Collie puppy, and he and the puppy play and run until they are both exhausted! He loves his toys and will occasionally get a little grumpy over a toy he is chewing on. He knows that is not allowed and before foster mom can correct him, he seems to catch himself, by putting his head down, as if to say sorry. He is built like a tank, rock solid, weighing in at between 60-65 pounds. He is very food oriented and does not let you forget its mealtime. He loves to play rough with his people and is a total meathead. All this oversized puppy wants is loved on. Gotti has been in his foster home now for a few months, as we wanted to fully assess his behavior, and we are happy to report that he seems to love everyone and everything that he meets! We do recommend a home with another dog to make his transition easier, especially a playful dog his size. A home without small children is ideal as well. He has not shown one bit of aggression in his foster home, but he does not need a toddler sneaking up and startling him. He is a very happy boy and would truly make a great companion! Gotti is also housetrained and crate trained! He is currently being fostered in Parker, PA in Armstrong County, but we can help with transport to the perfect adopter.
