Adoption Fee: $60
Maine Coon / Ragdoll
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

Tootle Tinkers and Wanda Winkles are a beautiful couple that are hoping stay together but if it's the right home they can be separated. Tootles aka Tori, is a long hair red orange approx. 10yr. Wanda aka Oreo, is a long hair brown and black approx. 8yr. They are both spayed females and their adoption fee is $60 each. They are microchipped. They like a calm, quieter environment without yelling and little kids running around. They are good with other nice cats and calm mellow sleeping dogs, if any. Tori and Oreo have been together since kittens in the same house with the same person. Mom lost the house and had to move where she couldn't take her beloved kitties so they went to grandma's house who has 5 rescue dogs that don't like cats. It's a bit of a circus for them all but at least they had a place to go. They went from having the run of the house to being confined to a bedroom but are visited regularly. They had a scare when the mom rehomed Oreo and was later found at the kill shelter where she was dumped off. Thank goodness for her microchip. THEY DIDN'T TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT AND DUMP THEIR RESPONSIBILITY AT THE KILL SHELTER. THEY MADE THE EFFORT AND GOT HELP. IT'S A LIFE! Most kitties don't just go into a new home and own it, especially older kitties, they need an adjustment period. Patience, love and space will be needed for a few days. These two are opposite. Oreo puts the show on while Tori is glued to your lap. Tori is a kick back kinda girl, loves her cat naps and lives to get love from her people. Oreo is the player, the scratcher, on posts and cat trees of course. She is the lover of catnip stuffed toys and balls. Tori is very affectionate and loves to be held. In fact, once you pick her up, just plan on holding her for the rest of the day. She makes air biscuits and will sometimes drool when she purrs. She is the perfect lap cat. She loves to get in things like buckets, bowls and sinks. She likes to perch up on a cat tree where she can keep an eye on things and she's a talker. Oreo prefers to be petted rather than held. She has a full thick top coat and under coat that will mat easily and she doesn't care to be brushed. The mats are trimmed so she often looks like she's wearing a bad haircut. She gets hairballs and is not fond of hairball paste. She likes to perch up on a cat tree where she can look out a window. She is a big fan of scratching posts and cardboard boxes. She will sit near you while you watch TV or read a book, sometimes coming over and putting her paw on your leg to say hello. Tori is not much of a player but Oreo loves interactive toys like feather on a stick and shoe lace drag as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toys. They love their kitty treats, a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor and a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with sun rays beaming in. They will expect to share your bed. They have been free fed quality hard hairball formula to help with the long hair hairballs (quality meaning the first ingredient begins with meat) and get up to a can of Fancy Feast morning and night, seafood flavors only. Tori will sit and wait for her scheduled can and will let you know if you are late. She will expect to be fed first and will talk non stop until she has food in her mouth. Oreo is the patient one and will sit politely, waiting for her turn. Tori steals from Oreo but Oreo never complains. Below information is for preventative purposes%BD'%BD| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cat's fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health. AVOID FISH! Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! They need a cat tree, love and an inside home ADOPT Tootle Tinkers and/or Wanda Winkles FOR LIFE!
