Adoption Fee: $60
Bengal / Abyssinian
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Kenny and Pru are a beautiful couple that are hoping stay together but if it's the right home they can be separated. Kenny is a red orange short hair male. Pru is a silver black short hair female. They are approx. 9yr and their adoption fee is $60ea. They have been neutered, spayed and recently vetted. They are good with other nice cats and nice older kids. No dogs, they stress the cats out. Kenny and Pru have been together since kittens in the same house with the same family. Mom recently got married to someone who is allergic and the kitties must go. THEY DIDN'T TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT AND DUMP THEIR RESPONSIBILITY AT THE KILL SHELTER. THEY MADE THE EFFORT AND GOT HELP. IT'S A LIFE! For 10 years they have had the run of the house. Now they must stay in a bedroom separated from their family. They are getting extremely stressed out and they are over grooming to self sooth. At least they have each other. Kenny had a kitty cold as a kitten which thickened his sinus cavity. All that means is he may breath like a person who has allergies and he sneezes more than usual and nothing more. The vet has given them both a clean bill of health! Most kitties don't just go into a new home and own it, especially older kitties, they need an adjustment period. Patience, love and space will be needed for a few days. Kenny and Pru have been loyal companions to their humans and to each other over the years. They have a wonderful relationship with each other and can often be found napping together. She will run to greet you at the door and is always ready with a cute beeping sound. He is very sweet hearted and will win you over with his extra loud purrs. She is calm and lives for her cat naps on your lap or in a sunny patch on the couch. He is very playful and spends lots of time chasing toys. They are both once in a life time kitties, with the most amazing personalities. They are cuddlers, snugglers, lovers to the core. They love interactive toys like feather on a stick and shoe lace drag as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 'cat dancer' toys. They both go bonkers over a laser light and catnip. They love kitty treats, a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor and a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with sun rays beaming in. They will expect to share your bed. They have been free fed quality hard food (quality meaning the first ingredient begins with meat) and their main menu is Friskies pate canned food. They get a can each in the morning and night. If you miss their canned food, they will let you know it. Below information is for preventative purposes'| Too many male AND female cats are getting the UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine. It's a blockage, it's painful and if ignored will lead to death. Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It's simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day. Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cat's fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health. AVOID FISH! Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment! They need a cat tree, love and an inside home ADOPT Kenny and/or Pru FOR LIFE!
