About Macallister

MEET MACALLISTER (MAC)! We initially posted about this guy a few weeks ago. At that time, he needed a foster home. Now, Mac is ready to be adopted! He is approximately 3 years old, housebroken, and crate trained although he is not regularly crated in his foster home. Mac has a beautiful blue coat with some white on his chest. Mac's foster dad has nothing but positive things to say about his boy. They enjoy hikes in the Delaware State Park and Mac loves every minute! Foster dad Bryan says that Mac was 'born to hike'. Bryan has even been working on Mac's off leash recall skills and tells us that hs is very reliable, which is helped by Mac's inclination to bond strongly with his humans. Having some high value treats readily available doesn't hurt either. At his recent trip to our vet, Mac made himself comfy in Dr. R's lap as if they were long lost pals! Mac is a super friendly, loving boy who has not met a stranger. He's veeeeery affectionate and loves snuggling up with his foster dad every night. Mac sleeps through the night, too. Other than being with his humans, Mac enjoys a good game a fetch and running around outside in the sunshine. He would love a big backyard in his forever home, although we're not necessarily making this a requirement. Mac does just fine with other dogs! We think he would like having a doggy sibling. However, he would be equally as happy without one. We have not cat tested Mac. **You may notice some spotting in Mac's skin in the pictures. When we first pulled him from the shelter, he had a simple skin infection due to a flea allergy.
