About Maverick

Pointer mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Hi I'm Maverick! Not the one from the movie 'Top Gun', but I do have a need for speed! Of course that's only outdoors. I love flying across the yard and lauding my flying skills and locking in on my target. I'm excited for takeoff but will 'Sit and wait'. Once my guidance radar locks in I'll retrieve my target and return it with a perfect landing, awaiting take off again. I excel at learning, practicing my agility, being a part of a squadron that'll support my desire for being the best I can be. I can chill with the best of them inside & yet excel outside. With a bit of time & training i could be a competitive dog athlete - everything from agility, to flyball, even frisbee competitions could be possibilities. As I stated earlier I love to chill with my squadron. I love to be told I'm the best, inverted for petting, spoiled with treats and knowing 'You've got that lovin' feeling' for me. Now for my personal info. I'm a 2.5 yr old, 55 lb. Lab/Dalmatian or Pointer mix. I'm house-trained, not one accident in my foster home. When It's time to go out I do well on a leash. No chewing except on my bones and toys. I don't get on the furniture unless asked to and I also mind my manners. I don't use a crate and I sleep on my doggie bed at night. I'm good with people of all ages, good with dogs but cats unknown. Could you be my new squadron? Are you willing to help me be the best I can be, as I love you unconditionally? We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments.
