About Chase

Catahoula mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Chase... His name is his story. He was abandoned at the rock pit in 2015 -a few hours before a volunteer showed up to feed. Confused and afraid to be left alone again, he chased the volunteer's car (slide for video) until we decided that he needed to be rescued before he was found and hurt by the wrong people. He was only a year old at the time. He bounced from fosters to boarding facilities for a few months until I brought him home. He struggled with house, crate, and potty training for many months. He was also mislabeled aggressive/reactive until we realized the spazzing is just part of his personality and charm. He's a sweet, loving, cuddledog. He really likes hugs and half-sitting on your lap. He barks only when it's absolutely necessary, making him a really good companion. I've been searching for the perfect home for Chase and I hope this is the year we finally find it. Notice that I've had him almost 4 years, and although he's loved and cared for here, he deserves an amount of love and kisses that only a home with less dogs or more people can offer.
