Ziggy is a dog I agreed to foster until the right person comes along. He's a very sweet guy! He's gentle with my goats, and has shown no interest in chasing them or prey drive toward my chickens. I suspect a cat would not be a problem, but sadly I no longer have one, and can't know for sure. He came from a family with small kids, and he seems to miss a more active house. He perks up when my mother's dog comes to visit. So far he's been very laid back, and that couch potato picture is very accurate. He's not very food motivated, but is learning some basic sit/down /stay/off command. He's excellent on a leash, and I have been testing him off leash a little bit. His recall is totally dictated by his nose, as is typical of scent hounds. Overall he's done so well coming to a new situation and figuring out new expectations. He needs a family, a fenced yard, and lots of walks since he's not very interested in exercise with toys. He's been to see my vet, and has some trouble with his ears and allergies, so he will need an excellent diet to help his body cope with that. He allows the ear cleaning, baths and takes his meds very well. He's such a good dog!
