About Balto

MEET BALTO! Balto comes to us from the Forsyth County Animal Shelter where he found himself as a stray and no one came for him. Never will we understand it. Balto is a approximately 2.5 years old (as of 6/2020) and is a German Shepherd/Husky mix. His striking good looks go well with his happy-go-lucky personality. This guy will melt you with his unique eyes (one blue and one half blue, half brown) and charm. Balto is a medium to high energy dog that does well with others though can be someone dominant. He would do best with a dog of similar rough and noisy play style so that he is not so intimidating to other dogs. He does need to learn some manners when it comes to playing so would do best with a family that is familiar with the husky breed as he tends to act more husky than shepherd. Balto does well on a leash, great in the car and is house trained and crate trained. HE would benefit from some time and attention in regards to his basic obedience but does have a start. Balto is up to date on vaccines, heartworm positive (already started slow kill treatment), microchipped, on flea/tick/heartworm preventions and will be neutered prior to adoption. Adoption fee $400.
