About Axl

Pit Bull mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Axl! This sweet, shy boy is a 3-year old, 64-pound pittie mix located in a loving foster home in Abington, MA. His lucky adopter will have a loyal, loving best friend who comes house-, crate-, and leash-trained. Axl is a real joy to be around and super low maintenance. The best thing for this meaty man is to have consistency and a whole lot of calm energy around him. In return, he'll give you equally positive vibes for a true Zen experience! Dog yoga anyone? Axl loves the simple things in life such as daily walks in the quiet morning hours and basking in a sunny yard. Axl is happiest being next to his human and earning treats for being a good doggo. He knows sit, stay, come, and paw commands. Axl is very gentle, but nervous. He would make an ideal companion for a calm, low-key individual or couple who will be patient and loving with his timid nature and allow him to open up in his own time. A quiet home with a regular schedule would be best - no kids, cats, or small dogs, though he may do well with a similarly sized, well-adjusted sibling. Axl's bowed forelimbs and somewhat crooked skeletal structure do not prevent him from being active, but will likely lead to early arthritis and the requirement of extra care in his older years.
