About Henry

Adoption Fee: 350
German Shepherd / Vizsla
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Just look at this handsome #LittleNugget! Everyone meet #Henry the newest member of the Lending A Helping Paw Dog Rescue pack. He's a one year old #Shepherd/#Vizsla mix, who weighs in around 37lbs. Henry is just a loving pup who's full of love and very eager to please. This little guy has a fantastic personality, whose smile will light up a room. Henry loves to snuggle, play & is starting to learn basic commands very quickly. All he wants in life is to be told that he's a good boy. Herny is currently in a temporary foster home with 2 other dogs and has found his place in the pack. He loves to play with his foster sister and enjoys following his foster brother around with admiration (Unfortunately we haven't see him with cats yet). If Henry had the choice of where to sit, lay, or be, it would be right by his owner's side. Henry is 100% potty trained, 100% Crate trained and great on a leash. Henry is currently up for adoption through Lending a Helping Paw Dog Rescue. Our adoption fee is $350 and will include his distemper, rabies, bordetella, parvo, and lepto vaccines; deworming, microchip, heartworm test, and being fixed. Henry is heartworm negative and is currently on heartworm prevention, as well as flea & tick preventative. We kindly ask that you please wait to ask any questions until the phone interview. ***PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST & FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS**** With the Covid-19 Pandemic going on we are still doing adoptions, but please remember that we are all volunteers and safety comes first. With our rescue being based in the Metro Detroit area, all prospective adopters must live within the state of Michigan (which means No out of state adoptions). Please remember we are not a shelter and are 100% foster based. Once you submit your application, it may take up to 2 weeks for us to get back to you. So please be patient with us. Again, we kindly ask that you please read the entire post to answer your questions. If you cannot follow the instructions properly, we will skip your application and move onto the next one. We kindly ask that you save any questions, comments or concerns for the phone interview. We kindly ask the following: No phone calls, No pm's, & No multiple emails- We are all volunteers and promise to get back to you within a timely fashion! Lending A Helping Paw Dog Rescue; previously known as the PRO-PET-OTIC Foundation, is a 100% Foster-Based Rescue that is ran by all Volunteers. Which means that we are not a shelter & each animal is in an actual home with a foster family. We kindly ask that you put any questions within the email & our team of Volunteers will get back to you. With the overwhelming amount of emails please be patient with our 100% volunteer family and we will get back to you. The application MUST BE filled out, a Vet Check MUST BE completed by our team, as well as a phone interview before we do a 'Meet N Greet.' Vet Checks: When adopting through our rescue, we 'ALWAYS' do a vet check on each applicant's pets that they have owned over the past 10 years. Please make sure to call your vet to grant them permission to release this information to our rescue. That being said, all of the animals in each applicant's home must be UTD on all of their vaccines (DHLPP & Rabies), an UTD Heartworm Test, & currently on both Flea & Tick, as well as Heartworm Prevention. So please make sure that when you are applying that all of your current animals go to the vet that is listed. How To Apply: If you're interested in adopting one of our available dogs: 1. Email [email protected] with the dogs name as the subject when you ask for the adoption application. 2. Once you have completed the application, please print it out, fill it out, scan it, & then email it back to [email protected]. If you do not have a scanner, please take a picture with your phone and we kindly ask that you sent all attachments into one email. 3. Please make sure to call your vet to grant our organization permission to do a vet check on your current pet. 4. If you are interested in more than one dog, please list your top 3 choices on the completed application. 5. Please be honest & truthful on your application. We always do a vet Check. We always do a home visit. And we always have both the prospective families & dogs best interest at heart! Lending A Helping Paw Mission Statement: Our mission is to play an active role throughout our community by 'Lending A Helping Paw' to animals that were either abandoned, in shelters, unwanted, homeless, chained outdoors, or victims of prior abuse and/or neglect. Our rescue family has accomplished this by setting up each animal and their new families up for success, educating and consulting pet parents about what's in the best interest of their pets overall well-being, and creating an awareness in our community about the vital importance of fully vetting and spaying & neutering their pets.
