Courtesy Posting CODE RED - OUT OF TIME - Sweet friendly adorable chow spitz mix (Samoyed, eskie or jindo?) girl has diabetes at San Clemente Shelter, needs immediate adopter., foster and or rescue for MADONNA, PLEASE READ HER STORY Madonna - ID #A044283 San Clemente Shelter, San Clemente, So Cal This is adorable Madonna, who was once more fluffy, but had to be shaved down after showing up totally neglected in a higher kill shelter. She is listed as a chow mix but may also be part Samoyed, eskie or jindo too. She was then transferred to the San Clemente shelter who says, 'Madonna is a special girl with a very loving personality. She loves walks, spending time with her favorite people and playing in the yard. She has quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite, stealing everyone's hearts with her amazing smile! Madonna will do best as the only pet at home with a family that can provide her with daily exercise. After rescuing her from a high population Shelter we had her seen by our vet for a regular health check-up and it was found that Madonna was living with diabetes. We quickly started medical treatment to get her condition under control. She will need a family that is willing to give her medication twice per day and keep her on a controlled diet. Her new family can rest easy knowing we can provide a medical stipend to assist with covering costs related to her condition; please inquire for more details! Although she requires special care it doesn't diminish her zest for life, her loving disposition or the joy she will bring to your home!' We are looking for a loving home to adopt, or to foster her so she can be saved as the shelter cannot keep her there with her medical needs. Madonna is estimated to be 7 years young, loves belly rubs and being pet. The shelter says she is good with even kids, but does not care of other dogs or cats. She is only 40 lbs so perfect size, although she could gain a few pounds.
