About Tennyson

Adoption Fee: $250
Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

This handsome red boy is Tennyson, nicknamed Tenny. He was born on April 26, 2019. He weighs about 40 pounds and has a natural bob tail that is 4-5 inches long. Tenny knows the basics: Leave it, gentle, no, sit, stay, come, lay, and shake. He is learning 'place.' He is also house and crate trained. Tenny is a typical Cattledog youth. He is more active than you would imagine. He will need a home who wears him out. He is also typical in that he needs a polite introduction. He isn't an appropriate fit for small kids. Tenny is nice with other dogs. He enjoys playing with others at the park. He also likes to herd other dogs. As for cats, he can get excited and chase but is good once he gets to know them. A herding dog savvy cat should be fine. Did we say that Tenny is more active than usual? Yep! He is a big fetch-aholic. He loves to go places, is good on leash and good in the car. This is a dog who is ready for adventure well beyond the house. Tenny is a bit of a punk. When he is frustrated or bored, he gets mouthy with hands. He definitely needs an adopter who is a good leader and keeps him occupied. He is a loyal boy who will be adored by someone who appreciates an active herder. Tenny is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. He is located in Palm Desert, CA. We do not ship our dogs. He is available for a meeting and adoption in SoCal. A home visit and vet reference are required.
