About Cash

Please read entire description. Cash needs a home with a physically fenced yard and no other pets. We would recommend older children. Well behaved and well trained in home. Cash is a good boy and even has some sponsorship money that will move with him for additional training if his new owner is interested. Cash is a 1 year old, 80 pound, good boy has had some human troubles in the past. He was rehomed and then rehomed. Then placed in a different home until he eventually was let loose as a stray with a note tied to a leash that said 'Free Dog.' 'Didn't have the heart to shoot him in the head.' When we met Cash, he was hyper. He was reactive to other dogs. He would jump around and be crazy! We put him on some anxiety medication after consulting with our vet and gave him some time to adjust in the kennel. The best dog is emerging. We have discovered that he lives for fetch. A tired dog is a good dog! We found a family that lived with Cash for almost a year and really tried to make it work. We KNOW that he was crate trained and house trained and knew some basic commands. He would be very active and playful, but then would also settle and cuddle. Unfortunately, he was just too much for the senior dog in the home. The family wished they could keep him, but did ensure he was brought up to date before rehoming him with the best intentions. We were grateful to know more about his history and that they fully vetted Cash including a neuter before rehoming him. We appreciate how responsible that is! Cash is now in a foster home and showing off all of his fetch skills, good behavior, and proving that he is the best boy for cuddles and listening to his people. He really is a gem! Cash is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. We are looking for a home for Cash that has a securely fenced yard, NO other pets, and people who will continue to work with him and teach him things. In fact, we have some donated money to go towards continued training thanks to our friend, Maryam and her work for shelter animals through the Beau Buddy Project.
