About Nox

Please read entire description. Nox is in need of a home with primarily females or a very patient/understanding male who is willing to work with him. Please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Nox is a 3 year old Border Collie / lab mix in need of a new home. He is good with children of all ages and great with females. He is very skittish and shy with men. It takes time for him to warm up to males in the household. Nox is a good boy, but is too interested in the family's chickens recently. (This means cats are also a no.) He has successfully lived with other dogs in the past, but he gets a little jealous of other dogs and would likely be just fine taking all of the attention for himself. He likes to cuddle, is very affectionate, and thinks he is a lap dog. He does well on leash, but is used to a fenced yard. We would like to see this as a requirement in his forever home. Nox uses his crate at night for sleeping and while his owners are away at work with no issues. Nox will bark when strangers arrive at the house, but has never had an issue going too far. He just gets a bit protective and eventually settles if ignored. He knows several basic commands and is a good listener. He will be an excellent companion for someone (a single lady or mostly female household would be best.) Nox is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
