About Mr. Whiskers

) I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out because I need to rehome my cat of 6.5 years. His name is Mr. Whiskers and he is a beautiful Maine Coon mix. He was found in the woods around 2 weeks old and was bottle fed until I adopted him at 8 weeks old. I need to rehome him because my wife and I are expecting our first child in July and he is territorially aggressive. He has bitten me twice and my wife once in the past 3 years because another cat or dog has been in our yard (transferred aggression) - each instance resulted in a serious infection. We simply cannot take this risk with a baby in the house. Mr. Whiskers would be perfect in a small apartment or as an outdoor barn cat. He loves being outside and is a great hunter, but we have kept him indoors because he got into fights with a neighboring cat and was killing small animals. He is normally pretty mellow but this changes when other cats or dogs are around. He spends most of the day lounging in his favorite chair or hanging out in the garage hoping to catch a lizard or a bug.
