About Rosemary

Rosemary 35lb mixed breed 18 months old. Hi! I'm Rosie! I was rescued from TN when I was pregnant. I came to IL and then just 3 days later gave birth to four adorable pups! They tell me I was a fantastic mom. I took great care of them but they're ready to go to their forever homes now and so am I. I'm sweet, happy, and playful! I love love love toys! Squeaky toys, bones to chew on, all the toys are my favorite! I love chasing tennis balls, though sometimes I'm not sure why my human wants me to drop the ball and I just play keep away instead! I do enjoy tug too! I am house trained and will sleep in a crate - though I'm still getting used to that thing and might whine a bit at first. I love taking walks and am working on my leash skills. I really just love to follow the smells! I love people! Men, women and children! As long as you are going to pet me, I'll be your BFF! Even better if you have treats - I love those too! My foster mom calls me 'mouthy' I like to communicate with my mouth! This is okay, but foster mom says I'd probably do best with kids that are at least 10 years or older. I also like dogs! Currently I live with a dog that doesn't want to play with me and that makes me frustrated! I'd love a home with another dog that I can play with - though I also like being the center of attention - so frequent trips to the dog park would work for me too! My ideal home is with a family that has some dog experience. I do know 'sit' and will happily do it for a treat. But I really need more training! A home with structure is one I would thrive in! Knowing what is expected of me will set me up for success. While I don't have crazy energy, I do need to be in a home that will exercise me every day.
