About Tess

Tess is an 11 month old chihuahua mix that weighs about 7 lbs. She was born with a deformed back leg and missing her foot/paw. Her owners no longer wanted her and were going to open their front door and let her loose. When a neighbor heard what they were going to do, she offered to take Tess and they contacted us to see if would would take her in. We of course said yes. She doesn't even know she was born different. She runs, jumps and walks just fine. In her foster home, she has some other little dogs she loves to run and play with. She is a little shy when you first meet her and new things can scare her. We believe she led her life in a backyard with no love or attention. It will take her a few days to warm up but she's not aggressive in any way. Tess had medium energy and would make a good companion to someone that has patience and lots of love to give. We are working on her house training, but she has already learned to use the doggie door. Here is a little video of her running around with her friends look at her go.
