ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS FOR CHUCKIE: ALL FEMALE HOUSEHOLD (OR IN HIS CASE GAY MALE SINGLE/COUPLE MIGHT WORK?) CHUCKIE IS AFRAID OF BURLY MEN. HOUSE WITH A YARD (NO APARTMENTS OR CONDOS). CHILDREN OVER 13 YEARS. A PERSON WHO IS HOME MORE THAN THEY ARE AWAY. PATIENT ADOPTER WILLING TO WORK WITH HIS SEPARATION ANXIETY AND QUIRKINESS. 1 year old male Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix - about 14 pounds. Chuckie, (more responsive to Charlie), is the sweetest, happiest and best companion around! Some of his favorite things include LOTS of snuggles, play time with his tug-of-war rope, soft & cozy blankets and long walks. He is slow to adjust to new people, but once he trusts someone he is sure to give all the snuggles and love! I've found that as long as meeting new people and being in close proximity to new people is on HIS terms, he does very well. Due to this, I wouldn't recommend him to a home with children under 12. Although I haven't witnessed aggressive behavior from him, a new home and new people will take an adjustment period and lots of patience. He's also still learning how to be calm on walks when we see other people and dogs. He truly is the best pup and is the happiest just being around his human ��%BD����%BD He's smart and catches on very quickly to tricks and commands. Slight separation anxiety but does well in a kennel. This boy is sure to steal your heart very quickly! And yes, the majority of his pictures is doing his favorite thing, snuggle sleeping! All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
