About Happy

Meet Happy, a handsome two-year-old, 60 lb. pit mix with the most gorgeous brindle coat. He was found abandoned, starving, and scared on a farm in Tennessee before being adopted last year. Sadly, he is now being surrendered by his family after their other dog attacked Happy in the home. Due to this unfortunate incident, he has developed a lot of anxiety and is no longer comfortable and very nervous. Although it's a difficult decision, the owners want the best for their dog. His name is Happy because his tail never stops wagging. He can be extremely shy at first, especially around men, but he is a very snuggly and affectionate boy who loves being next to his humans. He is pretty mellow and all he wants in life is a comfy spot to relax. Happy is a very smart boy and knows a ton of commands including sit, down, leave it, etc. Happy has exhibited resource guarding around other dogs so he must be an ONLY PET and experienced adopters are highly preferred as he will need additional training. Teens and up are ok but no young children. He doesn't like being left alone as he has some separation anxiety so adopters that aren't gone long hours are highly preferred. His crate will come with his adoption as he needs to be crated while home alone for extended periods of time due to some chewing behaviors. He walks well on leash but will pull so a harness is recommended. You must also have a fenced yard (not electric) to be considered. His adoption fee is $300 and Happy is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. Please help give this boy a second chance at a happy ending!
