About Skippy

Adoption Fee: 495
Spitz mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Skippy is in foster in Yelm, WA with another dog who is 17 lbs whom he does very well with. This is a courtesy listing for FurEver United Rescue based out of Corpus Christie. He is very quiet in a home and rarely barks. He wants to be by his humans side and will bond quickly. He is very smart and needs only gentle re-directing. He is not good with cats. We know he is scared of young children so NO CHILDREN. This means if you are under 40 DO NOT apply bc we do not want him in a home that could potentially have children. With one person he was not super well behaved passing very small dogs on a leash. This could be the person with him was NOT alpha or he might see very small dogs as prey or he might need some training for that. He has done fine with dogs his size and larger on the leash. When he gets closer to the dogs his size or lager, its clear he just wants to say hi and wag his tail. We havent allowed him to go close to very small dogs. He was eating out of the same dog bowl asap with his fosters dog. Skippy is 30lbs. Walks really well on a leash. We think he is pretty much totally house broken. If you walk him 3 times a day and have a routine you should not have any issues. He likes to hang out on the couch with you and sleep at the foot of the bed. He is very playful, affectionate, and energetic. We think he's the perfect age. He is past the puppy stage but still very young. Approximately a year or so. Going to be a great dog for some lucky home. : ) He was most likely hit by a car and the rescue had surgery to remove his front leg. Its fine. Skippy does great on one leg. Obviously just two collars/leashes as a harness is not doable with a 3 legged dog. Please email us at [email protected] for an application to adopt. thank you
