About Marshall

Marshall is a dashing 4 1/2 year old Chihuahua mix who is looking for a loving forever home. Marshall is a very particular guy who know just what he wants in life and is looking for just the right family who will understand and help him live his best life. Marshall is a generally happy and outgoing guy. He loves the finer things in life; his bed, his toys and most importantly, food. Marshall's downfall is not controlling his love for these things and becoming assertive and sometimes aggressive as a means to defend what is his. Marshall is a lover who picks a person and loves them very quickly and very loyally. He will need a mature, adult home with dog savvy, patient people who will help to work on his resource guarding but will also set up an environment to help him thrive for now. Marshall is a sweet guy who is likely so protective of what he has because he has not had a lot. Marshall has spent many months in a shelter environment, both his time at the county shelter and our rescue. Hopefully, in a home where he knows and understands he and his belongings are safe and together he will calm down and be a 'normal' good boy, but we want him in a family who will be patient to help him get there if that is not the case. Marshall is fine with other dogs as long as his space is respected, but does not need a friend and will happily be the center of attention! He will need training and that may include house training, but he is food motivated which will help! He weighs 8 pounds full grown. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. His adoption fee is $180 which includes a free vet visit.
