Chill AF. Renegades like it's his job. Always wears converses and hangs out at the skate park. Still lives with his mom. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intake Date: 15 May 2020 ----- Age at intake: 6 wks ----- Breed: shepherd, cattle dog mix guess ----- Size: 4 lbs ----- Status: stray, unclaimed at pound ----- Compatible with: dogs, children, cats, everything ----- Suitable for: home with a SECURELY FENCED YARD. Possible apartment with adequate daily mental and physical exercise. Hard to say at this young age ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: none noted ----- Additional Notes: Archie is a tiny little guy who came to FBS with his paralyzed mother, Astrid. We do not know the history of his siblings but are told due to there being so many strays on the reservation where they resided, they were likely killed. Archie survived because he never leaves his mother's side. These two are very close. She dotes over him and he absolutely adores everything about her. I haven't ever seen a bond this strong between a mother and her pup. Would love for them to stay together if they continue to be this close. They are both very gentle with one another. Archie loves to smile and roll over for tummy rubs! He is a chill puppy! We have no idea what his breeds are so we cannot guarantee mature size. He is adorable, and deserves an owner who will love him his entire life regardless. He will be adoption available at 12 weeks of age. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered (a voucher is provided if not old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. For young puppies unaltered, the adoption fee is $300 and $125 is returned once proof of spay/neuter (Voucher provided if local). Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. IF A YARD IS PRESENT, A SECURE FENCE IS MANDATORY. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Medical Expenses Incurred Thus Far: Tick treatment = $25; Neuter = $150; Vaccinations = $25.00; Microchip = $10.00; Deworming = $40.00; Total vetting = $250 + food, bedding etc; Adoption fee = $175; Loss = +$75 ----- Without support, we cannot continue to rescue dogs. Unfortunately many are hesitant to pay the minimal adoption fee when dogs can be found free anywhere. What they aren't prepared for is the vetting expense required and then the animals are not fixed and the reproduction surplus continues. Sponsoring a dog's adoption fee allows us to find them a home after being fully vetted, continue intaking and vetting, and continue baby steps towards 'fixing companion animal overpopulation'. To sponsor, send your donation via PayPal at [email protected] with the name of the dog you would like to sponsor in the note! As always, we appreciate your support and cannot do this without you. You are unsung heroes!!
