Available for adoption, meet Wesley! Wesley is a 2/3 yr old beagle mix who wants to be your loyal companion. Wesley is doing superb with his crate and housetraining and is learning what its like to own his own tennis balls, toys, and treats. Poor Wesley was living in some pretty rotten conditions when we found him. Its no wonder he has experienced some socialization issues since coming to rescue. He will be your devoted faithful companion, however care must be taken when a new visitor enters your home. Wesley simply hasn't had enough social exposure to understand that not every new person entering his home has bad intentions. He will need someone to manage this, and continue working with him on socialization. Wesley hasn't quite learned leash behavior as of yet and would probably be more successful with a fenced yard. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
