About Stella

Stella is a ~65 lb. three-year-old boxer:Pittie mix. She is one of the sweetest, most loving, adoring dogs I have ever met, and I have absolutely fallen in love with her. ���%8D Stella needs room to run or someone committed to taking her on a solid walk every morning and evening. She lives for her walks and getting her exercise (checkout the videos at the end of the post!). That being said, she adores nothing more than Her Human. Once she bonds with you, it is 100% complete and utter devotion from this dog. She will wake up out of a dead sleep and come running over to get head pets and cuddles constantly throughout the day - I call them her 'check-ins.' She just wants to be around her people and be touching them, getting lots of head pats and physical attention. She will lay her head on your chest or your shoulder and snuggle up against your neck for as long as you allow her. She will nap on your lap, if you let her! Her love languages are most definitely Physical Touch and Quality Time, and she craves your attention, belly rubs, butt scratches, and cuddles because I don't know if she's ever experienced someone truly loving her. Stella matches the energy of the room: if it's quiet, she lays down and sleeps; if it's loud and energetic, she's ready to play! She is an absolute sweetheart who needs a family with patience and lots of love to give. Stella walks very nicely on a leash. She is kennel-trained and, although she'd prefer to hog the covers in your bed with you at night, she does love sleeping in her kennel and will put herself to bed when she's tired. She knows basic commands and is almost 100% house-trained (having a doggie door and lots of treats would correct this quickly). She comes from a house with dogs and kids so an ideal home for her would be a place where she has canine and/or human siblings with which to play and entertain. I would keep her in a heartbeat if I wasn't gone 12 hours a day and traveling 8-9 weeks a year. She has a huge piece of my heart, and I want the best for this amazing dog!
