About Hiei

I have an urgent situation and need help as soon as possible. I have to move back to Florida by the end of the month to take care of my father, and I need someone, anyone, to help rescue my Am Bulldog mix Hiei. I have exhausted all of my personal sources and none of my friends and family can take him in. If I can't find someone to take him I will be forced to surrender him to a shelter, and I'm almost positive he won't make it out alive. I've worked with shelters before and know for a fact an older bully breed doesn't stand much of a chance in a shelter, so the sooner I can get him a safe new home the better. Hiei {Hee-yey} is an 8 year-old, neutered, American Bulldog mix with all his vaccinations. Despite his age he still has the energy of a 3 year-old, and loves a lot of attention from everyone in the room. His favorite things to do are laying in the sun, being pet, eating, and to be chased around. He loves people and dogs, but does NOT like cats. Hiei is very affectionate and sweet but deals with a lot of anxiety, specifically a deep fear of loud noises (thunder, fireworks, gunshots, etc.}, and will usually try to run and hide if something loud scares him. Because of his high energy and anxieties he needs an experienced owner that has an understanding of dog psychology and behavior. All I want is for him to be happy and healthy with someone who can give him everything he needs and deserves. Please I don't know what to do! I can't surrender him, but my father needs me home. It'll kill me if I have to leave him in a shelter. He doesn't deserve it.
