About Gizmo

Gizmo comes to us from a family that needed to find him a new home. They just didn't have the time for him. So, we are going to find a family that does!!! He's a small guy, around 8 or pounds, and is full grown. He is approximately 3-4 years old. Its taken him some time to adjust to his new home, so we know that whomever adopts him will have to be patient AND kind and give him the space he needs to decompress. He is crate trained, gets along with other dogs, seems ok around the kitties too! Kids should be fine with him, as long as they understand that he may be a bit scared. He will need help with his potty training. We think he hasn't really been walked too much, but he seems to understand the leash, and is liking his walks. We are looking for a family that will understand he will be shy at first. That will give him the opportunity to explore the world, when he is ready. Are you interested in adopting him? Let us know!! It is necessary and important to give a dog time, understanding, patience and kindness while they are adjusting to their new lives. Time to decompress. It is up to us to teach them how to navigate our world, not punish them or be impatient with their timeline. The more time you give with NO expectations, the deeper and more loving your relationship will be with them. Time is the MOST important gift you can give to your dog. We are a FORCE FREE rescue. The adoption contract you will be signing specifically states that you agree to NEVER use any aversive methods nor tools like a shock, prong or choke collar. Please, consider everything when making a decision to adopt a dog. As part of your adoption package, each dog will be fully vaccinated (Da2PP, Rabies), have a microchip, and be spayed/neutered. You may need to come back to us to complete shots, spay or neuter, hw test. You will receive 6 mths of HW preventative.You will receive a free bag of premium dog food, as well as a gift card from Choice Pet Market if you live in one of the designated zip codes. We give you 4 training classes, this is MANDATORY and will be scheduled at a later date and place
