About Jackson

Adoption Fee: $50
Pit Bull / American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION MUST BE THE ONLY DOG- He is dog aggressive. PREFER A HOMEOWNER WITH LARGE DOG OR PITBULL EXPERIENCE. Jackson is a 7yo male, neutered, American Pitbull Terrier. He is UTD on shots and on heart worm prevention, he's NEVER had fleas so we don't use flea prevention on him. I took him in after his original owner died in hopes of him and my dog getting along they DO NOT. They have been through training and he benefited greatly from it but they still do not get along, so that is the reason for rehoming. He is still a little hyper so small children probably won't do well. He is great with my 8-10 yo grandchildren and nephew. He LOVES swimming and riding in the car. He walks well on a pinch collar and doesn't pull. He is VERY in touch with his owner's emotions. He doesn't like spray bottles or water hoses. His current foster is working on crate training and he has mild food aggression which she is working on as well. He is a male dog so he will mark a couple times when first arriving at your home but after that he NEVER has accidents. He will piddle if he gets afraid, this happens especially around men because his former owner didn't use proper training techniques. I am NOT asking for a rehoming fee but I WILL do a home check, verify income and ask for vet or personal references if you don't have a vet. He is loved and I'm not going to let him get in the wrong hands. I'm willing to drive anywhere in FL for a meet and great to find him the best home possible.
