Courtesy Posting: ADOPTER & DONATIONS NEEDED ASAP FOR RESCUE OF ST. BERNARD X GIRL WHO WAS IN ISOLATION AT CAMP PENDLETON SHELTER (MARINE BASE)- needs medical, etc Hanna San Diego, So Cal We are in need of donations asap to help the rescue of a beautiful but neglected St. Bernard mix we have named Hanna who is estimated to be 6 years old and weighs just over 100 lbs. Hanna was in quarantine at the Camp Pendleton Animal Shelter after a backyard breeder disposed of her after she was done with producing probably many litters (you can see she has recently had a litter). Hanna was scared and growling at the shelter, but finally warming up a bit. We found about her only because we were assisting this shelter with the placement of a scared chow who is now adopted thankfully. However, this shelter needed Hanna out right away with little resources to keep her at the Marine base. So, Annette at Animal Defense Rescue (a rescue I work with often and was already helping me with the chow if she needed rescue) took Hanna instead to save her life. We didn't time to raise any pledges before the other day, as we had to get her out asap. Annette has helped us save so many other dogs, particularly ones with medical needs and who are harder to place. Her rescue and Hanna now need our help to cover basic rescue costs- and provide her the care she needs and deserves finally. Therefore, please lmk if you can make a donation. Per Annette's email below, she is anticipating at least $800 in basic vetting for spay, bloodwork, appointment, HW test, treat infestation of fleas, and health cert before a dog can be transported up to her. This does not include additional costs if Hanna has any further medical problems, nor the cost of transport up to Washington, so any and all donations would be so greatly appreciated!
