Sage was a street dog for over a year. She has now learned the life of a house dog and has been adjusted well. Sage will need an active, patient family that understands it will take time for her to trust. She is shy and timid, but once she learns she is safe she comes out of her shell. Sage does need a wooden fence as she can climb, she has also dug under fence previously. She walks great on a leash, knows several commands and with proper introduction she is dog friendly. Sage is playful and goofy once she trusts you, does not react when someone is at door, hides when new people enter- making sure she is safe. She currently sleeps with foster's son or on a dog bed. She gets nervous in kennel, but getting better. We have her listed as a German Shepherd, however she is an unknown shepherd mix. She is heart worm positive, is currently on slow kill. If adopter uses one of our vets, will will cover her treatment
