About Rowdy

This cute guy is Rowdy, a 4 year old Australian Cattledog mix. He weight about 50 pounds. Rowdy knows his commands: sit, stay, heel, drop it, and lay down. He also knows take a break for going to the bathroom. He has a few tricks, too: Roll over and high five. Rowdy is house and crate trained. He likes his crate and can be protective if it. He can also be protective of his dinner bowl. He likes his stuff to be his stuff. Rowdy is a fun guy. If you ask him to heel, he walks nicely on leash. He really enjoys going for walks. He is fine with other dogs and people walking past him. He is decent in the car. So, he would probably be a good hiking pal. Rowdy also loves to fetch! He will play fetch with a ball, frisbee, or a teaser ball. Tennis balls are his favorite fetch toys. He isn't too bad catching a frisbee. He also loves to catch bubbles. Finally, Rowdy loves to play in the water, especially the water from a hose. Rowdy is a sweet and love-able guy for his people. When he wants some love he will come over and nudge his nose under your arm over and over until you pet him, and will continue to do it if you stop too soon. He loves to talk to you. So expect him to talk at you when you play with him. That said, Rowdy isn't enjoying living with kids. He also prefers that guests leave him alone until he is ready to know them. Mostly, Rowdy would love a quiet home with just a few people that he can love. Rowdy would love a family who keeps him active; however, he isn't into dog parks or going to dinner with his people. He is dedicated to his folks, but nervous around new dogs and new people. A savvy dog home may be able to have him live with another dog. That said, he doesn't need another dog. He is really dedicated to his people. Because he isn't enjoying living with kids, he needs a home without. Rowdy is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Murrieta, CA. We do not ship our dogs. He is available for a meeting and adoption in SoCal. A home visit and vet reference are required.
